Science

In Science students explore, build, investigate, strategize, theorise and question the world, so that they have the skills needed to live in a fast-changing world full of different kinds of information. With three new state-of-the-art labs dedicated to the different branches of Science, highly experienced teachers and support staff our program allows all students to develop their understanding of Scientific literacy and skills.

Our Primary School students have a dedicated Primary Science teacher who delivers specific Science content and skills from Prep to Four. Students build on their understanding of the world around them, increasingly tying everyday phenomena to Scientific understandings.

In Middle Years (5-8) students have dedicated Science lessons every week, focusing on developing their knowledge and skills.

Our Year 9 and 10 students choose which pathway they would like to go down with Science – choosing what to study from a range of different options setting them up for different pathways in VCE or VCE-VM. If Year 10 students demonstrate skills and content knowledge by the end of Year 9 they can opt to begin their VCE program early in Year 10.
Our VCE program offers a range of different Science programs, with Physics, Biology and Psychology being offered onsite and different, alternative options being offered for Chemistry.
